International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) evaluates the English language ability of people who wish to study in countries where English is the primary language and means of communication.
There are 2 types of IELTS Tests. IELTS Academic is for students who wish to pursue higher education abroad while IELTS General test is for work and migration purposes. Test duration for IELTS is 2 hours and 45 minutes excluding breaks.

| IELTS exam types
Primarily there are two types of IELTS exams to demonstrate language proficiency at various levels. The listening and speaking sections of the exam in both types are often similar.
IELTS Academic
This IELTS test type is primarily designed for candidates who wish to pursue higher education abroad. As the name suggests, it is suitable for academic purposes and assesses whether candidates have the necessary English language proficiency to understand and communicate effectively in academic settings.
IELTS General Training
This test type is intended for individuals planning to migrate to an English-speaking country for work, training programs, secondary education, or immigration purposes. It assesses practical, everyday English language skills needed in social and workplace contexts.

The IELTS examination consists of four sections, each of which is significant in assessing one’s understanding of the English language
Listening
Students will listen to four recordings of native English speakers and then write their answers to a series of questions.
Writing
Two tasks each in Academic Test and General Training
Reading
Reading The Reading component consists of 40 questions, designed to test a wide range of reading skills.
Speaking
The speaking component assesses students’ use of spoken English. Every test is recorded.
