PTE Academic

PTE General Training
While the PTE Academic is most commonly used for higher education, PTE General is aimed at those seeking to prove their English proficiency for work and migration purposes. However, PTE General is less commonly used than PTE Academic for university admissions.
| PTE exam pattern
The PTE Academic test evaluates a candidate’s ability to understand and use English in academic contexts through four sections:
Listening
This section includes various tasks that assess your ability to understand spoken English in an academic setting. You’ll listen to audio recordings and answer questions about them.
Writing
This section includes tasks like summarizing written texts and responding to a prompt with a short essay. Your ability to write clear and structured responses is assessed.
Reading
Candidates are given a variety of written texts and asked to answer multiple-choice questions that test comprehension, vocabulary, and inferential skills.
Speaking
